Introduction

Sometimes you have to follow your gut and do what you believe is the right thing to do, even if it’s hard. In the book Of Mice and Men, George did the right thing by killing Lennie at the end of the novel because Lennie was a harm to other people. This is shown in 3 different reasons. That Lennie was dangerous to other people/animals since he’s so strong and kills things accidentally. Also, even when they run away to start a new life, Lennie still gets into trouble. Another reason is that he holds George back and George loses jobs because of him. Lennie was a nuisance to himself and others.
